Man arrested after assault on news crew
An 18-year-old man is now in custody after an assault on our I-Team crew.
As we showed you on Tuesday, much of it was caught on our own cameras.
As the video shows, you can see the man hit our camera twice and grab a cell phone from our reporter before driving away with a woman.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department have now identified the suspect as Julian Navarro.
According to jail records, Navarro is facing charges of grand theft, battery, vandalism, and preventing wireless communication. He was released on Thursday on $10,000 bail.
Our I-Team crew was working on a story on unlicensed marijuana facilities at the time the couple accosted them.
