Suspicious razor blades found on vehicle door handle, RSO warns
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is asking people to use caution when opening their vehicle doors after two suspicious incidents involving razor blades.
Two seemingly unrelated instances of blades being found on vehicles happened on consecutive dates in Temecula, according to investigators.
The first was reported late Thursday morning on Carleton Way. Investigators found "razor blades affixed to a car door handle ... in a manner likely to cause injury." No one was hurt.
Friday morning, a resident of Daniel Way reported finding "a single razor blade found on the front of their vehicle." Investigators say "it was undetermined why the razor was left on a vehicle."
Anyone with information to report is asked to call the Sheriff's Department or use the online tip form available here.
