Deputies searching for suspect at Palm Desert community

There is a heavy police presence inside The Gallery Housing Development in Palm Desert, off Gerald Ford and Portola Ave. near Dinah Shore.

Deputies have been seen searching the area for a suspect. No word on what they are wanted for.

They are announcing over loudspeakers that residents should say residents should stay inside their home. A canine unit has also been spotted as part of the search. A helicopter was also seen searching from above.
