Satellite Iowa caucus to take place in Palm Springs
Iowa caucuses are just a few days away and this year, there will be 87 separate caucus locations including one right here in the valley.
This is the first time Iowa democrats are scheduling satellite caucuses, in an effort to allow more Iowans temporarily in other locations to take part.
Organizers of the caucus in Palm Springs say it is taking place at the Palm Springs Public Library on Sunrise Way on Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This is the only Iowa caucus happening in Southern California.
The Iowa democratic party released the locations which include 60 in-state, 24 out-of-state and three international sites. Organizers say 112 people have already registered and are confirmed -- adding this is one of the largest satellite caucuses happening in the country. Attendees will have had to pre-register to attend.
