Palm Springs’ fire & police departments help woman celebrate her 90th birthday

Palm Springs resident Ruth turned 90 today and the city's fire and police departments were on-hand to help her celebrate the milestone.

Numerous vehicles from both departments did a drive-by birthday party for Ruth this morning. Ruth stood outside waving at our local first responders as the sirens blared to greet her on this special day.

According to the Palm Springs Fire Department, police and firefighters were notified that Ruth recently lost her husband. Both departments decided to step up and wish Ruth a happy birthday.

Yesterday we received a phone call advising us that one of our residents was celebrating her 90th birthday and had recently lost her husband.
