RivCo: 178 residents went to Cathedral City Local Assistance Center to seek help with Hilary aftermath

The county of Riverside Emergency Management Department supported 178 people during the three days of the Cathedral City Local Assistance Center.

The five most visited agencies at the Local Assistance Center were the District Attorney’s office (legal support and advocacy; the State Contractor’s Licensing Board, Public Health, Salvation Army, and TODEC.

The council is urging all residents and business owners with damage to continue filling out the damage survey if they have not already. https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/0cc3e82ccbab435c844bf44cec771a60

When they record damages, it helps the county provide supporting documents to the state to qualify for state and federal funding programs.

E.M.D. staff answered questions, promoted preparedness, and gave out preparedness supplies.
