Police give potentially life-saving advice for ride-hailing drivers after car theft in Palm Springs

The Palm Springs Police Department is sharing helpful advice to protect ride-hailing app drivers should they ever encounter situations with unruly or aggressive passengers.

Uber and Lyft, two popular ride-hailing companies, offer information on their websites that pertain to a variety of situations, including emergency situations and safety incidents.

News Channel 3 is speaking with a PSPD officer on what steps ride-hail drivers should take if they find themselves in a potentially dangerous situation where a passenger appears to be a threat.

This comes after a 31-year-old San Francisco man has been arrested for allegedly stealing and recklessly driving a ride-booking vehicle in Palm Springs.
