FIND Food Bank delivers CV Cares donations to LA food bank
'Coachella Valley Cares' helped raise a total of $125,255 for victims of the recent Los Angeles wildfires.
FIND Food Bank delivered the donations to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in the City of Industry on Wednesday.
Michael Flood, CEO of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, says the money will go a long way in helping as many people as possible during these challenging times.
“We were just really taken aback in a positive way that the communities and people in the Palm Springs and Palm Desert area would respond in this way and help us... You are helping people here in Los Angeles county, families, children, seniors. People struggling. There are many people who just ran out of their homes and had no time to pack anything. The ripple effects. People have lost jobs and those ripple effects will continue for weeks and months. So it’s been a really challenging time.”

The money will go towards purchasing nonperishable foods, an item in high demand.
Debbie Espinosa, CEO of FIND Food Bank, says there was a high supply of residents ready and willing to assist in meeting that.
“There were so many people that were reaching out to find food bank as well and KESQ saying how can we support... People mean a lot to us, even beyond our own community. When they are going through something so heart breaking and we want to make sure that we can take care of them as much as we would be able to take care of our own.”
