A mild weekend awaits

We're heading into the weekend with high pressure soaring above us which will keep temps above normal until next, with clouds slowly moving in.

A warm air mass over the Western States will allow daytime highs to reach nearly 80 degrees over the weekend.

By midweek, that ridge begins to break down, and a trough moves in, bringing a chance of rain here in the Valley and snow in our local mountains.

The best chance of rain is Thursday and Friday of next week, and there could be several inches of snow above 6,000'. Temperatures will cool off by midweek.
