Cloudy close to the summer season
Air quality Friday afternoon was 'moderate' around the Coachella Valley. As the environment is still coated in sand and silt, know that air quality can change quickly in localized locations.
An influx of tropical moisture from dissipating post-tropical cyclone Kenneth is providing a cloudy close to the work week. Sprinkles to light rain are expected around Southern California, including the Coachella Valley, but with minimal accumulation. Unfortunately, not near enough to cleanse all the dust that's accumulated!
For the first weekend of fall, clouds will clear, and temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 90s. The warming trend will continue into the middle of the week as a weak ridge of high pressure builds over the region.
