List of buildings closed/events affected by the coronavirus
Several events around the Coachella Valley have been canceled or postponed due to coronavirus concerns. News Channel 3 will continue to update this list of events affected.
As of March 13, the Coachella Valley has 10 positive cases. County health officials ordered the closure of all schools in the county.

- Palm Springs

- All commercial gyms and cannabis lounge areas closed
- White Party will be held from October 30 to Nov 2.
- All bars and nightclubs in the city are closed.
- Restaurants still open must maintain social distance (tables must be at least 6 feet from each other)

- Palm Springs Art Museum - Postponing all events through the end of March, but the museum remains open

- The counter at City Hall will stay open for now, however, appointments are strongly encouraged for plan reviews and other permit processing. The lobby will be closed from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Go to www.indio.org for more details.
- Desert Theatreworks is postponing its 2019/2020 season effective immediately. Call the box office at (760) 980-1455 for more information.
- March and April's Movies in the Park are canceled. The program is produced by the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Indio and Desert Recreation District.

- Desert Recreation District closing all facilities, with the possible exception of the ASES After School programs, through March 30
- For the ASES programs, officials say they will follow the direction of the Riverside County Office of Education.
- Riverside County Libraries - Closed through April 30th. No overdue fees will be charged for materials currently checked out
- High Desert
- Sky's the Limit Observatory and Nature Center - Events canceled for the next two weekends
- San Bernardino County Health Officer canceled all large public gatherings

- The Coachella Valley Water District canceled all upcoming events
- CVWD does not anticipate any disruption to water services in the Coachella Valley

Health officials recommend that Valley residents who are elderly and/or have underlying health conditions, including individuals who are HIV positive, limit non-essential travel and avoid large public gatherings.
Health officials said anyone who thinks they might be experiencing symptoms of the virus and want to be seen at Eisenhower Health should call the hospital hotline first at 760-837-8988. Avoid the spread of this illness.
Residents with further questions can call 2-1-1 and 800–CDC –INFO (800 – 232 – 4636) with any questions.
Public health recommendations for all Riverside County residents during community spread:
- Practice social distancing, which is remaining out of places where people meet or gather and avoid using public transportation, if possible.
- Do not attend work, school or events when sick. Stay home.
- Cough into your elbow or tissue.
- Wash hands frequently and use hand sanitizer often.
- Stay away from anyone who is sick.
