Community celebrates 22nd Annual Greek Fest

Nearly 10,000 people gathered for the 22nd Annual Palm Desert Greek Fest today hosted by the St. George Greek Orthodox Church of the Desert.

People enjoyed live Greek music and dance performances, home cooked, traditional meals, and a kids fun zone too.

Proceeds made at the event go right back to the community.

“This is the main fundraiser for the church to stay alive. The church supports lots of charities, a lot of people in need, organizations in need. The church helps a lot of other people,” said George Argyros, of George Greek Orthodox Church of the Desert.

Those attending were also able to take guided tours of the church displaying ancient inspired mosaic art.
