Holiday Weekend, Weather Cause Long Delays At P.S. Tram

PALM SPRINGS -With the great weather, and a three-day weekend, lots of people had the same idea of how they wanted to spend their Saturday. So many people wanted to head up the Palm Springs Aerial Tram that there was a line nearlythree hours long.

The tram’s parking lot filled up quickly, so traffic was held up along Tramway Road, down to Palm Canyon.

Cars were not allowed up the road until someone left, leaving some people sitting for an hour before they could even get to the parking lot. Once they got to the lower tram station, the line to get onboard was anothertwo hours.

But the wait was worth it for some visitors, who said theirchildren wanted to play in the snow before they head back to school.
