Lee Daniels Says Mariah Had Too Much Champagne, No Food
PALM SPRINGS – “Precious” director Lee Daniels tells News Channel 3 that pop-star-turned-actress Mariah Carey had too much champagne Tuesday night, and didn’t eat anything.
That, he says,resulted in what we saw on the red carpet and on-stage at the Palm Springs International film Festival gala.
The internet has been a-twitter with Carey’s acceptance speech at the awards gala, where she was presented with the Breakthrough Performance Award.
During her speech, she appeared disoriented, and some claimed she was “drunk.”Lee Daniels, who is a personal friend of Carey’s, tells News Channel 3 the champagne went to her head.
