Woman arrested for prostituting minor in Moreno Valley
Moreno Valley police arrested an 18-year-old woman yesterday after an undercover operation connected her to the prostituting of a 14-year-old girl.
On March 7th, police were investigating information theyreceivedthat a 14-year-old runaway girl was acting as a prostitute.Apparently, the girl was being advertised in postings on a popular social networking site. The postings offered sexual services in return for money.
Posing as a potential client, agents contacted the girl and arranged a meeting at a Moreno Valley motel. When agents arrived at the motel, they located the child and took her into protective custody.
Soon after, they found she was connected to 18-year-old Kayla Jackson, a Moreno Valley resident. Upon further investigation and questioning, agents learnedthe 14-year-old was conducting prostitution under Jackson’s direction and guidance.
Jackson was ultimately transported and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on charges of human trafficking, pimping, pandering, and procurement of a minor.
