Police reopen Gene Autry Trail after brief closure
Palm Springs police have reopened Gene Autry Trail from Via Escuela to I-10 through the Whitewater Wash after high winds prompted a brief closure Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities send out a Nixle alert Tuesday just before 3:30 p.m. and the road was back open around 4 p.m.
No other road closures were in place.
