Fire at Bermuda Dunes Walgreens contained to storage area
Cal Fire says a small fire in the storeroom of the Bermuda Dunes Walgreens, at Washington and Avenue 42 has been contained.
Cal Fire says they got the call just before 9:30 a.m. that the fire alarm went off, and the store was being evacuated. When crews arrived they located a fire in the rear storage area of the 10,000 square foot commercial building says Cal Fire.
Upon further investigation firefighters discovered an active fire in the rear storage room and requested a second alarm. Firefighters worked quickly and aggressively and were able to contain the fire to a small metal storage box in the room.
