DA Hestrin announces change in officer-involved-shooting policy
In a live interview Monday with CBS Local 2’s Brooke Beare, Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin laid out details of a new policy he says will provide more transparency to the public in cases where his office declines to file charges in cases of officer-involved-shootings.
Hestrin also addressed issues with the recent case of a wanted parolee from Coachella who is accused of cutting off his GPS tracking bracelet twice after shooting his girlfriend on two separate occasions.
