Palm Springs Windmill Tours light up windmills for season opener

Palm Springs Windmill Tours celebrated the opening of the season in true holiday fashion Tuesday night by equipping high-powered LED lights to dress the windmills in bright, colorful lighting.

Residents went to 62950 20th Avenue in North Palm Springs for the event.

It began at 3 p.m. with cocktails, appetizers and free twilight tours of one of the Coachella Valley’s most recognizable landmarks, organizers said.

The windmills were lighted at 5 p.m. as the sun set.
