Three of the cheerleaders suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
Westbound traffic was stopped for hours afterward.
Eastbound lanes were reopened just before 8 p.m., but all westbound lanes remain closed.
A CHP officer told us that there is still no word on when roads will be back open.
Westbound drivers are being allowed to pass through the right-hand shoulder until lanes are ready to be reopened.
