Teenage Boy Arrested After 100 MPH Indio Police Chase
INDIO – A teenage boywas arrested at the intersection Avenue 42 and Jackson after Indio police say he led them on a 100 MPH chase through Indio.
At 8:04p.m. Monday,police received reports of a 1994 red Ford Explorer stolen from the Arabia apartment complex.
An unmarked police officer spotted the stolen vehicle shortly after police flooded the area with officers. The chase lasted 15 minutes with the teenage driver flipping the SUV onto it’s side.
He was taken to J.F.K. Hospital to be checked out. He’s expected to be okay.
Indio Police say he was arrested for failure to yield and being in the procession of a stolen vehicle. No one else was hurt during the pursuit and crash.
