‘Coachella’ Line-Up Announced For 2010

INDIO -Hip-hop artist Jay-Z, the British alternative band Muse and the indie pop group Vampire Weekend will be among the groups performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.
The festival, set for April 16-18 at the Empire Polo Club, will open with Them Crooked Vultures, Grizzly Bear and LCD Soundsystem.
Saturday will feature Faith No More, Tiesto, the Grammy-nominated British band Hot Chip and MGMT. Sunday will close with Pavement, Radiohead’s front man Thom Yorke, and the Grammy-nominated French band Phoenix, followed by a multi-media show by Gorillaz.
Coachella’s co-founder Paul Tollett said the lineup will have younger acts than in the past, according to Mydesert.com. Last year, Paul McCartney headlined the festival’s opening night.
More than 130 acts are set to play over the three-day festival.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. PST.
