Another Missing Hiker Rescued From Mt. San Jacinto

As crews were preparing to bring a down a missing Southern California man off Mt. San Jacinto, another hiker was rescued on Monday morning.

Palm Springs police spokesman Mitch Spike said crews rescued another hiker who suffered from minor injuries, and couldn’t climb down.

Just before noon, crews that were helping find the Brian Carrico happened upon a recently-injured hiker on the Tahquitz Canyon Trail. He had injured his leg while hiking, broke a tooth and was 20 yards off the trail when he was found.

Rescue teams planned to drive the injured hiker out, and transport him to a nearby hospital.
