Solar Projects Spotlight Palm Desert
Two new solar projects in Palm Desert are showcasing the Coachella Valley’s potential as a generator of clean renewable energy.
The city is hosting a dedication ceremony Monday at the Parkview Complex along Fred Waring Drive at Civic Center Park to celebrate the project’s completion.
The two solar projects are expected to last 25 years and generate enough energy to power 275 homes for a year, while eliminating more than 2,200 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
