I-15, Highway 60 Corridor To Shut Down For Emergency Repairs
California Department of Transportation crews will shut down a major freeway interchange Tuesday night to conduct “emergency repairs” to an overpass.
In a news release issued Tuesday morning, CalTrans announced the closure of the Interstate 15 connector to the eastbound side of California State Route 60 in Corona.
The barricades will go up at 8 p.m. after the evening rush hour. Crews were hopeful to have the repair work completed by 10 p.m.

The emergency was called after a loose steel plate was secured with temporary bolts to keep it in place. A more permanent solution will be completed tonight.
Cal Trans suggested a detour for motorists: continue southbound I-15 until the first exit past the SR-60 connector. Exit, and return to the northbound I-15 and continue to the eastbound SR-60.
