Palm Desert gets a Nordstrom Rack

Palm Desert announces another big store opening in the city in 2014.

Palm Desert Mayor Bob Siegel says a Nordstrom Rack will open in the Spring of 2014.

It will share the space where the Best Buy is now and where the Whole Foods which was announced last week will be going in.

That location is at 111 Town Center across from The Westfield Shoppingtown Mall on Town Center Way.

Best Buy is moving to the Desert Crossing shopping Center on Highway 111 later this year.

Spiegel says the stores will help the city rebound from the down economy by bringing in more tax dollars to the city.
