UPClosing Arguments Underway in Lambert Trial
Closing arguments are underway in the Clifford Lambert murder trial.
Two Northern California men are charged with murder, conspiracy and other counts, in what prosecutors insist was the financially motivated stabbing death, of the 74 year-old Palm Springs retiree. Today Deputy District Attorney, Lisa DiMaria presented a review of her case against Kaushal Niroula and Daniel Garcia. Both are charged with 10 felony counts and have been representing themselves.
DiMaria reviewed text messages and phone records that show Niroula and Garcia joined forces in the murder plot.
DiMaria also commented on Garcia not cooperating with law enforcement.
She also said he was found, by police, in a friend’s bathroom, with luggage and a passport.
Her point against Niroula included a statement from him saying, “I really don’t care if Clifford Lambert died on December 5th.”
Niroula will start closing arguments at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning, since court isn’t in session tomorrow or Monday.
