BNP Paribas Gives Back to Local Non-Profits

The season of giving is in full swing at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The Champions Volunteer Foundation is giving a total of $148,000.00, to 44 local non-profits, like the Angel View Crippled Children’s Foundation, the Braille Institute, the Desert Cancer Foundation, Canine Companions for Independence and the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center.

Development Director, Kelly Thordsen says, “Mrs. Sinatra met Mr. Sinatra while playing tennis, so this organization is near and dear to her heart. We’ve been getting donations since being founded 26 years ago.”

The Champions Volunteer Foundation is the primary beneficiary of the BNP Paribas Open and recruits over 1,000 volunteers each year.
