BNP Paribas Open donates portion of October ticket sales

One of the world’s largest tennis tournaments is donating thousands of dollars to a local medical center that specializes in comprehensive cancer research, including treatment for prostate cancer and breast cancer.

The BNP Paribas Open takes place at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden from March 3, to March, 16. Steve Simon, tournament director, said $5,266 was raised from October ticket sales. That money will be donated to the Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center, located at Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center.

“We are privileged to have the BNP Paribas Tennis Open make a donation in support of Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center,” said Michael Landes, President of the Eisenhower Medical Center. “It is truly philanthropy that has made this breast center one of the finest in Southern California.”

Additionally, the BNP Paribas Open is set to launch its annual holiday promotion. One dollar for every daily loge and grandstand ticket sold from December 1-23 will be donated to the National Junior Tennis Learning Network of the Coachella Valley, according to Simon.

Daily tickets for the two-week event are now on sale and range in price from $13 for the first Thursday evening session to $100 for loge seats on the final weekend.
