The Wind Advisory has been issued from 4 p.m. Monday through 7 a.m. Tuesday.
A recurring theme of road closures in Palm Springs continued on Sunday when Gene Autry Trail and Vista Chino Road were shut down due to windy conditions causing low visibility from blowing sand.
Both roads were back open around 5 p.m. Sunday.
Several areas of low pressure and their associated cold fronts will bring periods of gusty westerly winds to the mountains and deserts through Wednesday afternoon.
Gusts could top 65 mph in wind prone locations, areas south of I-10 could see gusts 35-40 mph at their peak. Blowing dust and sand could create hazardous driving conditions and force road closures.
