All power restored in La Quinta area

Power has been restored after thousands of people in the La Quinta area woke up without electricity Thursday morning. Officials with the Imperial Irrigation District said the outage affected 3,260 customers.

A viewer contacted News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 and said his power went out in the La Quinta Cove around 5 a.m.

IID sent out an alert at about 7:15 a.m. saying the company had a troubleshooter working on a fix. The company reported that all power was restored at about 8:30 a.m.

If you’re still without power, officials ask you to call 800-303-7756.

IID didn’t say what caused the outage.
