Local craftsman creates custom furniture all over Southern California

Cory Hamilton’s first experience with woodworking was born of necessity.

“A skateboard to take to the beach. So expensive….so I built one,” he said.

Woodworking stayed in his blood.

“With every other job I just felt this isn’t for me.”

So he started making pieces. His resume of work, some which takes 3-4 weeks to make, covers all genres – but his favorite is Italian Gothic.

Contemporary, mid-century modern, African – and he has quite the fan base! He even got first place in the “furniture” category at the Indian Wells Arts Festival! All these successes, but it all stems from his family. He loves having his studio attached to his home, and by himself– putting attention into every single piece he makes.

He says he’s grateful for his skills and that he can do what he loves making a living for his family.
