Teen uses pen to stab crisis center clinician in neck
A 17-year-old female was arrested after stabbing a clinician in the neck at the Yucca Valley Crisis Center over the weekend.
According to the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station, the stabbing happened on Sunday afternoon at the Walk-in Center, located in the 55400 block of Sante Fe Trail. Deputies said the 17-year-old suspect arrived at the crisis center the night before.
The teen apparently found a ball-point pen and hid it in her clothing. While she was in the clinicians office, she grabbed the pen and stabbed the man in the neck.
Deputies said the teen girl was arrested for attempted murder. She was taken to Juvenile Hall in San Bernardino where she’s being held without bail.
Deputies didn’t elaborate on the extent of the man’s injuries.
