Coachella gang member wanted for trying to kill his girlfriend twice
A documented Coachella gang member who was on active parole is wanted for trying to kill his girlfriend -two times.
Indio police says 25 year old Lawrence “Little Chubs” Moreno from Coachella shot his girlfriend – a 20 year old woman – on July 25th at the Casa Las Valles apartments in Indio. The womansuffered a single gunshot wound to the right leg, but was released from the hospital.
Police arrested Moreno in Coachella, held on a $100,000.00 bond. He posted bail and was released from jail wearing a GPS monitoring bracelet as part of his parole conditions. Four days later, he went back to the Casa Las Valles Apartments and shot his girlfriend again.
She was shot two times, once in the lower back and once in the left upper thigh. She’s in serious condition.
Later that day a gunshot wound victim sought medical attention at a hospital outside of Indio. It was then discovered that Moreno shot a second subject. The male victim was outside the apartment with the female victim when Moreno appeared and began shooting at him striking him once in the upper shoulder area. The male victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury and released from the hospital. During the investigation, two other victims came forwarded stating that Moreno had also fired at them on August 12th. Moreno cut-off his GPS ankle bracelet after the incident and his whereabouts are unknown. The weapon used in the above incident is outstanding.
Moreno is considered armed and dangerous. He is 5′ 4″, 170 pounds, brown eyes, brown hair, with multiple tattoos. Police need the public’s help in locating Lawrence Moreno. Anyone seeing Moreno should not attempt to contact him but immediately call 911.
