Labor Day DUI crackdown continues in Riverside County
Police in Desert Hot Springs are continuing the stepped up number of officers on the streets, saturation patrols and checkpoints as part of an 18-day maximum DUI enforcement period meant to coincide with the Labor Day holiday period.
The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown, conducted in partnership with the California Office of Traffic Safety, began Aug. 21 and is scheduled to run through Sept. 7.
In all, 30 law enforcement agencies across Riverside County will conduct at least some stepped up activity as part of the crackdown.
