Two vehicle accident leads to temporary lane closure on interstate 10

Westbound traffic on interstate 10 was slowed early Monday morning after an SUV hit a guardrail in a two vehicle accident near the Jefferson Street exit.

It happened just after 2:00 Monday morning.

Two vehicles headed westbound collided near the Jefferson Street interchange construction project.

The driver of the Jeep Grand Cherokee lost control and hit a guardrail and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with minor injures.

The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.

One westbound lane was temporarily closed.
