Desert Hot Springs Police Department cracks down on drunk drivers

It’s the time of year when we see many police departments stepping up their saturation patrols.

Saturday night the Desert Hot Springs Police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint.

They had 16 vehicle enforcement stops.

One DUI alcohol suspect was arrested and two DUI drug suspects were arrested.

There were two drivers arrested for speeding and issued five citations.

The stops were conducted within the city between 6:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m.

The department expects to conduct another checkpoint within the next few weeks.
