Driver arrested for DUI crash, three people hurt
A Thermal driver is out of jail after being arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence of alcohol. On Saturday, Coachella Police officers responded to a crash on State Hwy 86 and Avenue 50.
Police say 58-year-old Santiago Rodarte didn’t stop for a red light and crashed with a Toyota Senna. Three people in the Toyota were taken to the hospital.
Rodarte was arrested at the scene for DUI and booked into the county jail in Indio.
He posted bail and is scheduled to appear in court in August.
