Desert Democrats discuss first presidential debate
A couple dozen Democrats gathered together at the Democratic Headquarters of the Desert in Cathedral City to watch the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
Some of these Democrats felt Clinton came to the debate more prepared than Trump.
“She has been training for forever and she is very good at what she does. She knows the country, she knows the political parties and she knows everything that she needs to know,” said Lee Scheideman of Palm Springs.

Almost none of these Democrats seemed to be worried about former Secretary Clinton’s health.
“She’s human. She caught a cold. She caught a touch of pneumonia. Get over it,” said Elle Kurpiewski, office manager of the Democratic Headquarters of the Desert.
Many of these local Democrats know Clinton needs to do something to get younger voters on her side.
“I think she is going to have to concentrate on the kids, because they are slipping away, and maybe do some more stuff with Bernie (Sanders),” said Marie Mouchaa-Juric of Desert Hot Springs.
The Democratic Headquarters of the Desert will be hosting the next viewing party on Oct. 4th for the vice presidential debate.
