Suspended play at ANA Inspiration will change schedule into weekend
The ANA Inspiration from Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage was suspended during first round action on Thursday around 3 p.m. due to windy conditions that uprooted trees on the golf course.
The intended schedule was to have the players remaining first round holes continue Friday at 7:30 a.m., but damage to the course including fallen trees forced the tour to push back competition to 9:11am. The first round will complete their remaining holes, and then the morning group from Thursday will take the course for the second round followed by the second round from Friday’s 9:11 a.m. group.
Regardless of how far along the action is, the play will again be suspended at the expected sunset time of 7:05 p.m.
KESQ and CBS Local 2’s sport’s department will have all of Friday’s tournament action at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
