Home destroyed in brush fire
One home was destroyed and 20 acres burned by a brush fire in Riverside Saturday.
It was first reported around 3:20 p.m. Saturday in the 6900 block of Gaylord Avenue. Witnesses said strong winds helped it spread.
Authorities said the fire was fast moving, burning through light vegetation towards multiple homes. A third alarm was called, bringing the total number of firefighters to 50.
