Lane reopens after vehicle fire causes backup on Interstate 10
A vehicle fire on the shoulder of the freeway caused heavy backup on eastbound Interstate 10, just east of Dillon Road Saturday.
The fire was reported just before 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
California Highway Patrol officers say a mobile home caught fire on the side of the freeway, causing oil to spill on the freeway.
Officers said it caused backup for hours, as Caltrans crews worked to clean up the mess.
They said no one was injured.
One lane was closed due to the fire for several hours. Crews reopened the lane on the freeway just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
