Memorial weekend travel deadly on local roads
The Memorial Day weekend ended with traffic jams throughout the Coachella Valley as people headed home, and at least two deadly collisions.
A woman died in La Quinta Monday when a van overturned along Highway 111. Police are looking for the driver who ran away from the crash scene.

And four people were killed Monday afternoon east of the Coachella Valley along State Highway 177 in Desert Center when a car collided with a big rig semi-truck head on.
Traffic was also slow and bumper-to-bumper in some areas on westbound Interstate-10 through the Coachella Valley Monday as people made their way home after the long weekend.
