Two workers hospitalized after African Killer Bee attack in Palm Springs
Two workers had to be taken to the hospital Friday morning after a bee attack in Palm Springs
It happened around 8:00 a.m. at Atlantic Aviation next to the Palm Springs airport.
Lance Davis with Killer Bee Live Removal says the attack happened as the workers were cleaning up dry vegetation in the area. The workers disturbed an African Killer Bee hive that was under some dry brush.
A water truck driver and tractor driver were both sent to the hospital.
No official word on their condition.
The hive was eventually dug up, the bees were vacuumed and relocated to one of Davis’ apiaries.
Davis advises people should get into shelter as soon as possible during a bee attack.
