Nearly 2 dozen firefighters respond to Palm Desert structure fire

Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters responded to a fire at a residence in the Sun City gated community in Palm Desert this morning. Nearly two dozen firefighters responded to the scene and the fire is now contained.

Firefighters initially responded to a 9:27 a.m. report of smoke coming from the garage of a residence on the 38000 block of Fallbrook Avenue. The structure fire was contained to the garage by 9:53 a.m. The firefighters were able to keep the fire contained within the garage, with no extension into the home’s living quarters.

No injuries were reported.
