31 arrests made in Yucca Valley & 29 Palms warrant sweep
A joint warrant sweep conducted by the Yucca Valley Multi Enforcement Team and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department yesterday resulted in 31 arrests. During the 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. sweep, 179 warrants were serviced and 87 field interviews/contacts were conducted.
Felony warrants, misdemeanor warrants, parole violations, probation violations, narcotic offenses and vehicle code violations were serviced during the sweep.During the servicing, law enforcement also contacted and documented known gang members in both Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms.
Deputy Sheriff Efrain Herrera and Robert Moreno of the Yucca Valley Police Department are tasked full-time with these proactive warrant sweep measures in the community, known as Problem Oriented Policing. Their positions are intended “to provide solutions to law enforcement related issues that adversely affect the citizens who live, work and visit the Town of Yucca Valley,” according to a Morongo Basin Station release.
