Palm Springs Jewish community responds to synagogue shooting
A Palm Springs Jewish community center and temple is responding to the mass shooting that happened at a synagogue in Pittsburgh.
On Sunday night, Temple Isaiah & Jewish Community Center will hold a vigil for those who were killed and injured during the shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.
The death toll now stands at 11 and is believed to be the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the U.S.
“An attack on one person is an attack on the entire community,” said Bob Weinstein, a local attorney. “We have to stand together against hatred and against this kind of bigotry. It has to stop, and it has to stop now. Because it’s only going to get worse if people don’t get more involved.”
The vigil at Temple Isaiah will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m.
Leaders said anyone is welcome to attend.
