High school students in Desert Hot Springs are getting the opportunity to learn the importance of driving responsibly.

Desert Hot Springs High School is hosting the ” Every 15 Minutes ” program today and tomorrow complete with a simulated car crash and mock trial for drunk drivers.

” There are people who pass away in alcohol-related traffic incidents every day and the idea is to make our students be aware of the consequences of getting into a car with a drunk driver or themselves getting behind the wheel after drinking, ” said DHSHS principal Caroline Cota .

DHSHS has partnered with the Desert Hot Springs Police Department to bring this program to their students.
