Police seek suspects wanted for Indio shotgun attack
Police are seeking four suspects wanted in connection with a shotgun attack in North Indio on Tuesday.
According to the Indio Police Department, the victims of the alleged attack were driving in the area of Avenue 40 and Madison Street around 3:25 p.m. when a silver 2004 Jeep nearly struck their vehicle. After the near-collision, a passenger of the suspect vehicle reportedly hung out the window of the Jeep and fired one shotgun round at the victim’s vehicle.
The shotgun round missed the vehicle, striking the asphalt in front of where the victim was driving.
After the shooting, the Jeep followed the victim’s vehicle southbound, where the victim pulled over to the Indio Police Department Police Station located at 46800 Jackson St.
The Jeep was occupied by four people at the time of this incident. The driver is described as a possible 16-year-old and the shooter is described as a possible 15-year-old, according to IPD. There is no description available for the other passengers in the Jeep.
