Lock down, heavy police presence in Cathedral City after reports of man with gun
Police responded Thursday evening to reports of a man with a gun at Panorama Park in Cathedral City, prompting a major police presence.
Some people who live nearby say they were put on lock down in their homes. The lockdown is now lifted and there is no threat to the public, according to Commander Julio Luna with Cathedral City Police.
Police closed off the area and Avenida Maravilla is shut down for the time being. Authorities are expected to be on scene for a few hours.
